One Naturally Heart-shaped Hole Beach Stone, coquinoid sandstone.
Surf tumbled by the tides and time.
Sustainably wild caught by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
The stone is 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1/4" thick.
It's a beach rock with a heart-shaped hole.
The hole is just under 3/16" across the top of the lobes.
All sizes are approximate.
This stone is shades of grey.

But what are Hag Stones? Hag stones are stones that have a
naturally occurring hole inside them. These stones are often found
along the coastal points, beaches, and streams. These holes occur
from the elements beating down upon them over many years.
There are also speculations that these mysterious stones may have
been formed by a “worm hole”. A Hag stone is also known as a
Witch Stone or Adder Stone or Holey Stone and has quite a bit of
lore and many magical properties associated with them.  Part of the
folklore is that if you look through the holes you can see fairies.
