World War II Army Air Force Base Photo ID Badge.
The black and white Photo ID Badge was for either an Airman or Civilian Worker at the Rome Air Depot in New York. The badge is intact with a celluloid face and is numbered. It is not named. Bastian Brothers of Rochester crafted the Base Badge. The Rome Air Depot was a highly active base. Its missions included; repair, modification and maintenance of aircraft, storage of equipment and shipment of suppies. The Badge was worn a lot, is from early in the War with an early style pin back device and is bent and the celluloid cover pushed in a bit. It approximates 79 years old and is in about fair condition.
