Description
M1903 Springfield Rifle Barrels--1942Two original early WW2 barrels for M1903 Springfield rifles, as follows:
[1] Barrel with front sight base and blade leaf, marked SA [Springfield Armory]/Ordnance bomb/7-42 behind sight base, and marked REP 1 7 M on top in front of chamber. Front sight base pin is missing. Barrel is a smooth rust brown patina with some light surface rust to rear [chamber area], there are also several score marks to chamber area from when barrel was removed. Chamber face and threads are undamaged. Bore is dark but rifling appears sharp.
[2] Same as above but missing front sight base and leaf, RA [Remington Arms]/Ordnance bomb/3-42 marked behind front sight area, and several partial proof marks on top in front of chamber. Smooth rust brown patina with a little more rust freckling than [1], especially on outside of chamber area. Chamber and threads are undamaged. Bore is dark but rifling still appears sharp.
Not beauty contest winners by any means, but still nice serviceable barrels for restoring a sporterized Springfield to its original configuration or for reenacting/living history use. Barrels are in good condition and one price gets both! Any questions please feel free to ask.
Please note, US sales only on these, no foreign sales allowed. Thanks.
