An excellent reproduction of the radio opening trim panel that's made in germany !
Plastic in the 70's was never really great quality
and after 40+ years of heat and sun exposure, it hasn't gotten any better. One common piece that is missing or broken is the plastic trim panel for the radio opening on the padded dashes. When VW shipped Beetles to the dealerships, the dash pad wasn't cut for a radio as these were optional at the dealer. So, if you wanted a new Sapphire or Blaupunkt, the dealer would cut the dash pad, install this plastic trim piece and then fit the radio. These are just like the original ones made by King in Germany just without being rotten or broken and with originals selling for +, it's a heckuva deal!!

Tech Notes:
These are made to be used with the original or reproduction padded dashes. If you no longer have a dash pad, you don't need this trim piece for the radio. Also, this fit most if not all stock Sapphire and Blaupunkt radios but may or may not fit aftermarket radios, even from that time period.
