Vintage Pioneer KP-500 Super Tuner FM Stereo Cassette Player in Original Box WOW

This is an awesome Pioneer KP-500 Super Tuner FM Stereo cassette radio. The radio is still in the original box with the owner's manual, warranty card, etc.  This is a truly amazing find.This radio is in very original condition as shown. It does appear to have been installed since there are witness marks on the mounting bracket and the wiring has have the ends of the insulation removed. Who ever owned it and used it obviously cared about it.
This radio is in very good original condition as shown. The front bezel is very clean with all printing clean and legible. The lens is clean and clear. All dials work as they should. All switches work except for the mute switch which moves back and forth as it should but does not mute the sound. The case is very clean with light wear as shown. All wiring is in good condition with the original ends intact. The mounting bracket is in good condition with no modifications. There is a small split in the front bezel below the eject button
. This iis an awesome original KP-500 FM Stereo Cassette Player that works as good as it looks.
This radio has been tested and works great on both FM and cassette modes. All pushbuttons and dials work as they should with the exception of the mute button. I imagine the mute simply needs the contacts cleaned after decades of sitting idle. The loudness button works but seems a bit still and may also benefit from cleaning. That said, I am not about to open up this awesome unit to try to clean the contacts of a pretty much worthless switch. This is an awesome working Super Tuner.
