Vintage PIONEER AM/FM Stereo Cassette Car Radio model SRX-163 ~ STORE DISPLAY
This eBay listing is for a vintage Pioneer SRX-163 car radio that comes as you see pictured in the listing and noted above.   I believe this is some type of store display since the car radio is inside an original Pioneer enclosure.   The actual model number of the car radio inside the case is unknown.   This classic features AM/FM Stereo with Cassette player.   Please note that this is being sold untested since I have no experience in testing car radios.  I did plug this in since it has a standard plug on the back but I didn't see any lights on the front.   I inserted a tape and it was playing the tape but at the same time, it was EATING my test tape as well.   I ejected the tape and tried again and had the same results.   I suspect the radio is playing since the unit is getting power, otherwise the tape player would not be working.   There were no screws on the sides holding the metal case in place so I removed the cover to take pictures of the inside as well.   There are 3 places in the back and an RCA plug.   I'm not sure if I can wire a speaker upto one of these items or not to test the radio.   I'll be happy to test further with a little directions from a fellow ebay member!!   Since it's being sold untested, I'm going to sell it as-is, parts or repair only with no returns for this reason.
