Vintage Hand Knit Lavender Scalloped Cutwork Crochet Capelet Pelerine
This vintage hand knit lavender scalloped cutwork crochet capelet pelerine dates from the 1930s. It is made of a light purple lavender color hand knit crochet soft wool yarn, with white knit edging scalloped cutwork details and a rosette flower trim on the front neck. This lovely lavender knit short cape capelet sweater has a pelerine style coming to a point in the front, a fold over knit collar with rosette flower trim sew closed at the neck, a unique cutwork sheer design and is unlined. The cape measures 17 inches long, with a 48 inch chest, 24 inch neck opening and is 17 inches wide in the back across the shoulders. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful unusual piece of custom made knitwear wearable art!
