Rare offering of two colorfully painted papooses. In the early Skookum style. Both in need of restoration, but cold be shadow boxed as-is and will be a spectacular addition to any early Native American collection .
These two items are museum quality one of a kinder art work- embellished by bent wood, woven straw bonnets and crossed hashing, snd tattered bright red wool.
Complemented by extraordinary vintage multi colored tiny beadwork (including cobalt colored beads) including a whirling Log!
Originally each mounted on old card stock backing. Early 1900’s lettered printed label on back of one - Farley Studio Decorative Art. One signed Grace Farley and the other signature obscured.
