    Description

Rare WWII German Death Card For KRIEGSMARINE SAILOR & GUN COMMANDER, BURIED AT SEA
    DESCRIPTION:
A very rare WWII German death card for a young Kriegsmarine matrosen and Gun Commander who died on ship AND WAS BURIED AT SEA in 1944. This card is also meant as an unusual funeral card, issued by his parents, and announces a service to be held on Sept. 2, 1944 for the already-buried sailor. An absolutely super card with everything. You will not see many like this.
Specifically: "Rudi Kolsch, Kriegsmarine Matrosen-obergefreiter, Gun Commander in a Marine on-board ship's flak company, who died in a tragic accident and was BURIED AT SEA on Aug. 25, 1944, aged 20."
VERY RARE CARD, WITH GREAT PHOTO wearing GREAT "DONALD DUCK" KRIEGSMARINE UNIFORM.
Very nice looking card, in excellent condition overall.
Original card, MORE THAN 75 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
No additional postage with multiple purchases.
Items are sold ONLY as historical artifacts and I respect any bans of such items in any countries where bids cannot be accepted.
A DIFFERENT, MUCH MORE UNUSUAL, AND HIGHER QUALITY DEATH CARD VS. THE MORE COMMON ONES GENERALLY SEEN ON EBAY.
