This is a well known fossil from a classic American locality.
I believe that area is closed to collecting now.
This shell was treated with acid to expose its pyrite coating.
There is quite a bit of pyrite on this specimen.
This is a good chance to get a classic fossil for an affordable price.

This brachiopod measures approximately 2-1/8" x 1-3/8" x 1-3/8" tall.
