    Description

Plate of Marine Fossils Shells From Kentucky Ordovician Period.
Collected in a creek bed from Waterford, Spencer County, Kentucky. This part of Kentucky was at the bottom of the ocean during the Ordovician period, approximately 450 million years ago. What makes this piece interesting is the hag hole at the narrow end and the ax head shape of the plate. Please see the last photo included: it is possible that this may be a tool, but I am not able to authenticate this.
