    Description

This is an incredibly rare WW II Original telephone used in an American Submarine. Built super heavy duty, heavy cast iron, and built to last a lifetime. Beautiful original brass bells, cradle cups, dial cover, screws, hang up depressor, etc. Mounting brackets are welded on to case as originally provided. This phone has a unique feature of a spring-loaded cradle where you push the handset down until the heavy and thick brass cover sheaths (top and bottom) cover the secure hand set in place when not in use. Time period brown cloth cord replacement with a modern module plug. If you do not have analog telephone service and have digital, you will need a pulse to tone converter sold on Ebay and the Internet for . to . or so. You will not probably find one of these telephones again. I bought as full operational years ago, but, and it gets a "Dial Tone" when I plug it in but since I do not have a converter, we cannot dial out. Amazing condition with just minor storage wear. Painted gloss black. See all photographs as no returns. Great RARE item for the WW II, Submarine, or telephone collector.
