Up for Purchase is this AS-IS Vintage OEM '71-'72 Black Delco Chevy 8-Track Stereo AM Radio | Model Number: 21APBT1 | Product Number: 7933271
The radio, along with a handful of others that I'm selling, come from an old car restoration shop, and it's been sitting in safe, temperate storage since the day it was pulled. It likely works, but I can't say that with certainty, and I can't test, so it's being sold AS-IS/NO RETURNS. By purchasing this rare find, you acknowledge and accept that it comes in untested condition!
The unit itself does show finish wear throughout, as seen in the photos, and now I'm going to go over some of the item details as I know it:
It's missing one of the knobs, but both knobs rotate as expected. The volume stem on the left turns, and clicks off all the way left. The station knob on the right moves the orange tuning needle with ease.
The buttons appear to work as expected. I can't technically test the eject button without an 8-track, but I can visible note that the button does move the ejector inside the unit.
The 8-track slot pushes open fairly easily with my finger as expected, though it doesn't close as easily on its own, not all the time. May need lubrication.
This stereo unit weighs 12 pounds, 11 ounces as-is.
8-track player may require belt replacement due to age degradation.
