See my other auctions for more relics and exonumia found while metal detecting and digging in New Mexico. This large brass buckle was found while metal detecting a circa 1935-1945 dump in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was bent when I found it. I cleaned it and straightened it out, and when doing so, the large plane popped off, as well as the two attachments on the back, so they have been glued back on. The buckle is fairly thin, and the attachments on the back are pretty flimsy, so I'm guessing this was for a woman or child to wear. It has a little damage to the top edge towards the right. Otherwise very solid. Neat WW2 or aviation display item. Measures approx. 4 5/8" x 2". Glad to combine shipping if you win multiple auctions. Thanks for bidding!
