    Description

    Military trench art WWII, Brass M14 base with P38 plane mounted on 50 cal shell.Hand made by Robert R Howland.  Weighs 22.15Lbs, Base is 4.75" Diameter at lip, Shell is 14" / 4.46" Diameter, stands 6"high without plane mounted.   Plane  has 9" wing span, and is 6" long,  When mounted on the base the plane is 7" tall at the nose mounted at an angle.  Shell is a 105MM M14.  Lot 5947-6, dated     NS 1940.This was in our family for years and sat on Roberts Desk as I remember as a kid.  This is a rare find.
