M1 GARAND WRA WINCHESTER NARROW BASE GAS CYLINDER NOS

Description

I`ve had this for over 30 yrs. It would not fit over an op rod piston. It has three (3) casting flaws in the bore that look like fissures that run length ways in the bore. The bore also has spiral reaming marks from not having the final reaming / honing process  being done and with the bore having been under size at .524.  I had honed it years ago with oiled 600 grit and with a  >> gas plug installed <<. It currently measures .527 - .526 at the front end.  I decided to leave it with the spiral marks and under size the way it is because the remaining root of one of the fissures that has almost been honed out started to look like a crack but, it`s not.  There is nothing irregular on the external finish. >> Leaving the spiral reaming marks and the current under size bore is evidence of why the finish is near mint and why this has never been used << .  I am still disappointed that I did not protect the tag on the rear with some shim stock at the time because it left a mark when the honer was withdrawn.   I`ve posted the best pics of the bore and the shipping is free.
