M1 Garand Sniper Stock for M1C or M1D Rifles that were on Rebuilt Sniper Rifles.
Real deal and interesting markings.  Looks like the end of Property on right side of butt. AN on left comb indicating Anniston. SA Boxed with W was another rebuild at Springfield. SA open box was done at a later date and Springfield Armory is probably where the stripped upper butt screw hole was repaired. Double Circle Ps also SA rebuild proof markings. Screw holes where brass screws attached to the stock. This stock represents an interesting example in the life of a M1 stock transformed into Sniper Condition thru upper echelon repair facilities. There is a small aged chip near trigger housing well evident in last photo.
