    Description

Up for sale is this lot of 30 Reading Adler newspapers printed in German, which makes it very difficult for me to assess the content. The April 25, 1865, paper did have references to Lincoln, Booth and Jackson, but it's likely the second paper printed after Lincoln's assassination. There are 2 papers from 1869, the others date from 1861 - 1865.
They are almost all addressed to Jacob Mertz of Rockland. 28 are in plastic sleeves, 2 are not. The condition is a bit rough, but it's pretty much how you expect to find them, some are soiled, the edges are rough, lots of tears at the fold creases, some tears in other spots. Please view all 12 photos to help judge condition, I also included my scribbled list of dates included, I didn't double check it for accuracy so check with me if there is one specific date that you need to make sure is present.
