    Description

Lincolns Gettysburg Address Lookout Mtn. 12/5/1863 Frank Leslie's Newspaper. ORIGINAL from 1863, this is the December 5, 1863 issue of Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper. Cover shows a great view of Lookout Mountain TN. The main center illustration is the Dedication ceremonies at the Gettysburg Battlefield on Nov 19, where President Abraham Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address. His speech is printed in the issue as seen in the last pic. This issue is complete. I believe it had been in a bound volume. Some of the tops/ bottoms are cut a little short- probably happened when it was bound- the cover page is separated, as there is edge wear as seen. The Gettysburg illustration is in nice shape with just some edge wear to those pages. Scarce issue despite the condition issues. This would have been the first time many Americans would have read the Gettysburg Address. Free shipping
