    Description

This thin hash plate contains a single crinoid or
    blasted stem
    from Kentucky.
    Approximate
measurements are 5" x 3" x 1/8". Very delicate with great tiny details.
    Great
    addition
to a fossil, rock, mineral collection or as an aid to research and education.
    These
    fossils
date to the Silurian Period making them over 400 million years old.
Finding good hash plates is no easy task even when in areas of abundant fossils.
Finding large amounts of quality fossils on a slim, manageable, stable piece of matrix takes a lot of work. Hash plates are heavy and bulky so there is an enormous amount of work involved in transporting and storing them. These are true fossil treasures and you'll see something different every time you look.
I'm out there collecting and cutting these great rocks myself and blogging about it at zookeeperfossils. eBay sales help support my rockhounding habit.
Combined shipping is always available and I will refund excess postage when applicable.
    Thank you!
