For sale a refurbished Radio
Becker Europa MU Mono
. It works as it left the factory 50 years ago.
This was top of the line in late1960/early 1970; see the advertising material in the last slide (a copy is included in the sale). It was installed in European vehicles like Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen plus Italian and British brands.
The radio has an internal amplifier; the speaker connects directly to a plug on the back of the radio.
This radio has 5 preset buttons, 2 AM and 3 FM.  It has "AM" mark on the buttons and faceplate which indicates an US market version. European market versions were marked with "BC"
This fits the dash opening in 250SL, 280SL and in all R107. See the slide with the opening dimensions for this radio,
Note that 230SL needs a narrow radio; this one does not fit unless you change the dashboard. Send me a note if you need a radio for 230SL. For the purists: the 280/250SL was fitted only with the 5 button version.
Pay attention to the output speaker plug as there were 2 versions:
a) The earlier version with 2 round pins
b) Later version with a spade and a pin - This one
Very nice design with stripes face plate and chrome accents.
Your vehicle data card may include details about the factory radio. Most of them were installed by the dealer; in this case there is no note in the data card.
This radio has an output for 1 speaker but it can be fitted to drive also 2 speakers (you connect them in series). If in doubt, let me know and I will include a note how to connect the wires.
This radio can be fitted with a
Bluetooth
adapter, NOT included in the sale.
The designers of the time did not had an idea about Bluetooth but they were smart enough to provide a DIN plug on the back for Input/Output of the audio signal.
The DIN plug on the back (round and black ) can be used to insert a Bluetooth adapter - not included in the sale - to stream music or for hands free communication.  On the "good stuff" Bluetooth adapter: Open the black plug in the back of the radio, insert the adapter and you are done. You have to do that only once, when you install; after that every time the radio is ON the Bluetooth will be also present

I recommend pro installation but ... for the ambitious handy ones I can - reasonably - help you with some pointers to install it.
