Beautiful & Bright Brazil Quartz Crystal Lamp, 8"H, 10+ lbs, De-stressing Glow

This beautiful, large piece of icy quartz crystal came from Minas Gerais, high in the mountains of S. Brazil. Try to bear in mind as you view the photos that this lamp stands 8" tall and weighs over 10 lbs. This is a large piece of quartz, and despite its size, the light inside of it shines evenly through the entire stone. So in a darkened room, this unique lamp is beautifully and evenly lit from top to bottom.
Compare a large quartz lamp like this one to any others you can find here in the U.S.--on eBay or elsewhere--and you will see that
quartz crystal lamps of
this size and quality are simply not available in N. America. In fact, we were unable to find any more in Brazil during our last visit.
The lamp is rotated in the different photos, showing it from different angles. It
emits a warm, almost candle-like glow, perfect for creating a tranquil and inviting ambiance in any room. (It also makes a great night light.) The final photo has a light bluish tint to it because we inserted a blue tinted nightlight bulb in it. Whatever color bulb you put in it, it will glow with that particular color.
The quartz
crystal is securely attached to an attractive dark Brazilian hardwood base. The fixture for the nightlight bulb is UL approved, and the brown 6-foot cord has a rotary on/off switch near the lamp for your convenience.
This lamp is not to be confused with somewhat similar looking lamps that are made of
salt
. Salt lamps are extremely soft, and will literally melt or dissolve when exposed to high levels of humidity or moisture. Whereas quartz crystal is much clearer, and is
harder than steel,
so is virtually indestructible. To shape and cut this piece, diamond-edged tools were used, and a large diamond tipped drill was used to bore into it from the base in order to create space for the light fixture.
