Description
Up for sale is this fantastic monthly archive of the Connecticut Regiments during the Civil War printed between August 1863 and May 1864. The Connecticut War Record was printed in New Haven, with the motto “ Our State Points to Deeds, Not Acres”. Every once in a while a single copy of one of these newspapers will appear, this is a chance to purchase the first 10 editions at once. The condition is mediocre, lots of foxing and toning, lots of edge wear, tear, and loss, many front and back pages are loose. I do believe they are complete except for 1 missing rear advertising page, no missing content pages. Many are addressed to Miss Henrietta Hitchcock, likely she went on to marry a soldier named Eben Thresher. Please view all 12 photos to help judge condition. Insurance and signature confirmation included on domestic shipping charges.
