On one of the books it has Cpl James McDonald, on another it has Mr. James D McDonald August 29, 1945 - civilian (maybe he got out of the service.
Lots of great drawings in these three books. He also has writing explaining when/where/and sometimes why he did them drawing. This is a great lot of historically significant drawings through the eyes of somebody who was there witnessing it first hand.
