    Description

This entire assembly is USGI. No dents, broken parts, or bent areas on this assembly. The base, leaf, slide, binding knob, and windage knob are all R marked. The binding knob has some nicks on the front (see photos). The sight base moves from left to right when the windage knob is turned. The slide on the sight leaf moves along the leaf without any binding proving that the leaf is not bent. The binding knob functions as designed it holds the slide securely when tightened. The collar is free of any damage from being removal from the barrel. You get both mounting pins with this one.  All parts retain the original finish and naturally have worn areas from use. The area where the mounting pin fits on the underside is discolored but of really no concern since it will not be seen when the receiver is placed in the stock. Care must be taken when mounting these to a barrel. Tapping on with a hammer is a big mistake since any compression of the tabs on either end of the collar will cause the rear sight base to be pinched and unable to be removed without damage to parts of this assembly. If you do not have the proper tools to slowly slide the assembly onto the barrel I strongly suggest seeking the help of a gunsmith. Now to be realistic, the sight collar, slide, and binding knob are used and will show signs of use. The other parts are mint never used. Had a buyer of a similar item cry like a baby because there were signs of use. No kidding, the parts went through a war and are now over 75 yrs of age.
